The Shimano Dura-Ace SW-9071-R is a right bar end shifter for time trial and triathlon bikes, compatible with 11-speed Di2 electronic shifting systems. Made primarily from plastic, it features a clean, black finish for minimal weight and discreet appearance. This shifter is designed to fit into aero bar extensions with an inner diameter of 19.0–22.5mm, making it suitable for most modern TT/tri setups.

The SW-9071-R allows riders to shift gears from the aero extensions, which is especially useful for long, flat, or rolling sections where maintaining an aero position is crucial. Because it is electronic and connects via Shimano’s E-Tube wiring, installation is simplified compared to mechanical solutions, and you avoid issues like cable stretch or contamination.

Each shifter has a single button, typically used for rear derailleur shifting. When paired with another shifter (for example, using the Synchronized Shift function), shifting the front derailleur is automated according to your settings, though the shifter itself cannot directly control the front derailleur. This setup is ideal for riders who want reliable, low-maintenance shifting from multiple hand positions without the complexity of additional buttons.
